Royal Botania - Calypso lounge collection
New Lounge collection by one of the top tier outdoor furniture brands, Royal Botania, under the creative direction of the team at Fat Tony Studio. A challenging project where we were tasked to create new and fresh content to showcase the latest addition to the design house's arsenal.
The aim of this short promo film was to target social media audiences and to open the brand to a wider customer spectrum.

We were given a lot of freedom and trust, and we are happy to present the result and our process below.

Taking queue from the Royal Botania fabric collection, we carefully selected & designed around hues & tones that amplify the visual and tactile senses.
In the first clip we used Saffron Velvet as main fabric for the seating.
The shaping of the back-seat cushions was obvious inspiration for the dunes, as the interlocking pieces of the weave form a dunescape themselves. The yellow hue of Saffron Velvet had the perfect tone to combine with a more subtly yellowish sand.
And of course, sand dunes need soft wind blowing through them, dah!
For the second environment we worked with the Juniper Green fabric from the Royal Botania's own collection.
The Meadow environment with two-toned tall grass was designed to accompany the colors of the textile weaving and the smooth soft backrests of the Calypso Lounge.
Brown Velvet is the main fabric of the Gravel environment.
Dark earthy tones and smooth silky sheen are the defining qualities of this sequence. The modularity and universal design of the collection is underlined by the shifting and locking movements that bring the individual lounge elements in place for a perfect & unique setups.
